Phoenix Settlement – Recognition as National Heritage Site

October 2^nd 2020 marks the 151^st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.   In 2019 we reflected on the significance of  Gandhiji’s ideas at an International conference.  This year Covid-19 pandemic has made it difficult to organise a conference but we are able to gather a diverse audience and a panel with prominent speakers.  Significantly on this 151^st birth anniversary we celebrate the declaration of Gandhiji’s first ashram the Phoenix Settlement, as a National Heritage Site,  by the South Africa Heritage Resources Agency(SAHARA).
